FEDERATION OF OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS ~ OUR MONASTERIES
The first Capuchin Poor Clare’s foundation was made in Amarillo, Texas. It was establish in August 15, 19801. Canonically erected on November 8 of the same year. The monastery was inaugurated a month later, on August 15. The community consisted of nine Sisters from the monastery in Guadalajara, Jalisco (Mexico) .
The second foundation was the monastery in Wilmington, Delaware. The monastery was inaugurated on December 12, 1986. It was canonically erected on June 26, 1987. The community was made up of ten Sisters from the monastery in Uruapan, Michoacán (Mexico).
On November 17,1988 ten Sisters from the monastery in Irapuato, Guanajuato, (Mexico), founded a third monastery in Denver, Colorado.
On February 4, 2001, six Sisters from the community in Amarillo, Texas, founded a fourth monastery in Pueblo, Colorado.
The fifth and most recent foundation in the USA was made in Brownsville, Texas, on May 27, 2003. Seven Sisters from the monastery in Zamora, Michoacán (Mexico), were sent to found this monastery.
The Federation of Our Lady of the Angels of North America was approved by the Congregation for the Institue of Consecrated Life and Apostolic Societies on Mary 31, 1991.

Fraternity is the heart of the charism of the Poor Clares. God granted St. Francis and St. Clare brothers and sisters and this was form them a clear sign that God called them to live evangelical perfection. As a contemplative community, we are essentially a praying community. Our unifying force comes from prayer and especially the Eucharistic table....
